Tommy Farmer is the youth pastor at Open Door Baptist Church. Tommy grew up at Open Door and joined the church staff as an intern in the summer of 2019 before becoming the ministry director later that fall. Getting to shepherd the youth ministry where he grew up, alongside his wife Briana, is, in his words, “one of the great privileges of his life.”

Tommy graduated from the two-year program at the Word of Life Bible Institute in 2016 before earning a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2020 with the goal of becoming a high school teacher (God had other plans!). Tommy later received a Master of  Biblical Leadership from Cedarville University in 2023 and was ordained as a pastor at Open Door Baptist Church in the spring of 2024.

Tommy and Bri are passionate about guiding students into a deeper and more sincere walk of faith. He loves showing students the grand storyline of Scripture, how to live with conviction, and how they can use their lives in unique ways to be vessels of God’s glorious light in this world.

Tommy primarily leads the youth ministry, but you may also find him helping with the media and outreach ministries!
